Steve's focus is on travel, landscape, nature and pet photography. "Travel and photography have been my twin passions for the last twenty years. My journeys have taken me to dozens of national and international destinations, from Europe to the Middle East, from New England to Central America, from Greece to the Galapagos, from the Pacific Northwest down through the South Pacific islands."
Steve has lived in Southern California since 1976, but can most frequently be found somewhere out in the natural world, seeking that elusive combination of light, beauty and composition that is the hallmark of the creative photographer. After a dozen years of building his photo library, Steve established photopassport.com to share and promote these images with a wider audience.
Steve has had photo credits in numerous publications, calendars and websites, including San Diego Magazine, the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Reader, and CNN.COM. He was a finalist in San Diego Magazine's 50th Anniversary photo contest, and his Superbowl fireworks photo on this site was originally published in the "Images of San Diego" calendar.
Recently, Steve has been focusing on pet photography. New advances in digital imaging allow him to utilize the same techniques that sports photographers use to capture stop-motion photography of animals and pets. "Everyone has photos of their pets in the yard and around the house, but to capture an image of your dog's facial expressions in motion, at speeds faster than the eye can see, opens up entirely new perspectives on your pet's personality." One of Steve's current projects is a collection of images of 'Dogs in Motion.' For a preview of these images, check out the pet photography link on this site.
Thanks for visiting photopassport.com! "Please take the time to enjoy these images, send a link to a friend, and sign up for my mailing list so I can keep a closer connection with the visitors to my site. I welcome all your comments, questions, and feedback. Enjoy!"
